The Hunals, a married couple, are found shot in their Istanbul apartment. Their seven-year-old son Ersun is missing without a trace. Everything seems to point to a home tragedy, but Inspector Mehmet Özakin soon suspects it's murder. The first priority is to find Ersun, however, who's probably a witness and potentially in mortal danger. Özakin track him down via a friend and barely manages to avert an assassination attempt on the child. He takes the seriously traumatized boy under his wing very carefully, who refuses to speak. Özakin manages to gain the boy's trust with a lot of patience and kindness, with the help of his wife, who's got her hands full at the moment herself: She thinks she's pregnant. But she doesn't need a child in her life right now. Mehmet Özakin's investigations lead him to a hornet's nest of drug dealing, blackmail and organized crime, raching into the highest circles of power...
