Shadows of the past

A man was shot dead while jogging in the dunes. A woman is found dead in her car. Apart from the murder weapon, the two cases have one thing in common: the perpetrator numbers the victims in text messages sent to Tjark. The investigators are faced with a mystery: why is the perpetrator sending these messages? Why has he numbered the victims? Is it perhaps something personal? These questions become irrelevant when Tjark receives a video of Barbara, who has been kidnapped. In it, the perpetrator addresses him directly with the words ‘For Tjark’. A race against time begins for the investigators. If they don't solve the mystery and find the killer, they won't be able to save her. Although Tjark is taken off the case due to his personal relationship with Barbara, he continues to investigate independently. The focus soon turns to the criminal Klaasen, who is an old acquaintance of both Tjark and Barbara.
