Davos 1917 Episode 4: Women of the War
General Taylor's (Cornelius Obonya) sudden departure makes Johanna (Dominique Devenport) worthless as an informer for the German Secret Service. Ilse (Jeanette Hain) gets the order to eliminate Johanna. But Johanna sees through the trap and takes precautions. The General instructs Dr. Mangold to recruit Johanna as an informant. But to protect her - unaware that Johanna is spying for the other side - Dr. Mangold turns Johanna down. Johanna doesn’t understand what’s going on, but she focuses on her goal: to leave Davos with her child. When it turns out that Johanna's fiancé is the main shareholder in the Swiss watch manufacturer that produces the artillery fuses for the Entente, Johanna agrees to provide Ilse with information about the secret fuse shipment if Ilse sticks to the deal and gives Johanna a new passport and money.
