Davos 1917 Episode 2: Control
The elite escape the global conflagration at the traditional New Year's ball in the “Cronwald”. This brings Johanna (Dominique Devenport) closer to Dr. Mangold (David Kross). At the same time, Johanna is supposed to complete a mission as a spy at the ball and find out what the Entente – the wartime alliance of England, France and the Russian Tsarist Empire - is up to in the ominous "Mission H". The situation at the New Year's ball escalates and puts Johanna and her family in great danger. Shocked by Ilse's (Jeanette Hain) cold-bloodedness, Johanna wants to back out. But Ilse manages to win her for herself again. At the same time, Ilse warns Johanna to keep her hands off men like Mangold. What both women don't know: Mangold is hiding a dark secret.
