Ranger Timo Roiss is found dead in the Berchtesgaden National Park. At the ranger station, Beissl and Jerry meet Lena Breuniger, not just the dead man's boss, but also his girlfriend. The couple were, however, having difficulties. She throws suspicion onto reckless biker, Raik Freimann, but her own brother Georg Geiser also had problems with the quick-tempered Timo. With his wife Andrea, Georg runs a chalet in the national park and offers guided hikes. He had clashed with Timo on more than one occasion. But is this motive for murder? Then the detectives discover traces of a campfire – strictly prohibited in the national park. What really happened that night before Timo's death? Only when they find this out can they expose the murderer.
