While Benedikt Beissl is eating breakfast and encouraging his daughter Eva to become a teacher, Jerry Paulsen is hurrying to a crime scene where a boy's body has been found. Pascal has been struck dead. It quickly becomes clear that the boarding school pupil was not particularly popular with his fellow students. Headmistress Petra Schwarz reports that the boarding school was Pascal's last chance. His teacher Amelie Michel had recently observed a significant improvement in the boy. Pascal had been getting extra tuition from Hannah Liebstöckl, granddaughter of caretaker Schorsch Liebstöckl, an old mate of Beissl's. He focuses his investigations on the gang disputes around the bike park at the school. Ringleader Franz Grünberger had already fought with Pascal about it and his alibi crumbles once Max puts pressure on his pal. And then there is Pascal's roommate Ben Welzer, who is clearly hiding something from the detectives. And why are the students bullying Hannah? When Caro restores a video she found on Pascal's destroyed mobile phone, everything becomes clearer …
