Golf coach Toni Brendel is found dead on the golf course in Berchtesgaden. Everything points to the fact that it was murder. Brendel, who wanted to influence the future of the golf club with ambitious construction plans, did not only have friends. Club president Julius Greiner, who wanted to prevent Brendel's plans and whose reputation was damaged by his malicious gossip, is among the suspects, as are Brendel's betrayed wife Pia and his mistress Franziska Schachtner. In the investigation, many motives and clues emerge, but there is no evidence. Only after Brendel's past is examined more closely and Beissl uses an unconventional criminalistic ruse can the killer be unmasked.
