Episode 05 - The Friends Are Following Theo's Trail in 1989

The bunch suspects hush money was paid by Robert Muyter De Boeck and Theo Thyssen, the chief laboratory technician at the time. They can’t find out to whom, because Felix’ walkman is still at Patricia’s office. As soon as Ella hears this, she’s determined to get it back and make up for her absence during the first visit to EternoFarma. Felix, Sammy and Noor are in doubt, but Ella insists…And masterfully succeeds by talking her way into the building and smuggling the walkman out. Felix is impressed once again and Sammy more jealous than ever.

Felix and his friends follow Theo’s acoustic tracks. It’s hard to keep up, as he’s on his scooter and they’re on their bikes. Then, Felix discovers the money was delivered to none other than Grandma Jos. Felix is appalled. Why did she accept it? Was she in on the whole thing? When he confronts Jos, she confides in him that it was a generous gift from EternoFarma, her then-employer, to help cover her daughter’s medical bills. Felix understands his grandma was manipulated but knows nothing about the whole affair. There’s only one person alive who does: Theo. Felix and his friends pay him a visit and pretend they’re making a documentary about Roegerhout. Theo, however, plays dumb. Felix doesn’t believe him and explodes with anger, even scaring his friends with his outburst.

Meanwhile, Patricia follows a similar trail. She has been struggling to keep EternoFarma afloat, as they’ve suffered tremendous financial losses. She discovers EternoFarma owns some real estate, for example, a huge villa supposedly worth millions of Euros. When Patricia seeks out the villa to liquidate it, she learns that the “villa” in question is a shabby old house, owned by Theo.
