Witch-in-chief Pestilla shows up unexpectedly. She orders Petronella to undergo a Garden Witch Exam to prove that she is worthy of managing a garden. Petronella does not know that Pestilla is in fact looking for someone to manage another garden and that she secretly plans to test Petronella for this job. If Petronella passes the exam, she will have to leave her beloved apple garden! Fortunately, Leah, Louis and the garden dwellers uncover this plan before it is too late, and they skilfully sabotage the exam. But it is all in vain: Despite questionable test results, Pestilla "promotes" Petronella to her new job, far away from the apple garden. Our friends are aghast. However, Pestilla underestimated the power of the garden. The garden plants wrap themselves around Petronella and her broom and prevent her from taking up the new job. Apple witch Petronella belongs in her apple garden – for good!
