The fisherman of Königssee

Michael Kroh, professional fisherman at Königssee, is fished dead out of the lake. Beissl knows the tragic fate of the family. The father of the deceased died in a fatal accident in the mountains a few years ago. The youngest sister Sina grew up with Michael and his wife Betty. But the pubescent girl caused problems and there were also quarrels with the oldest brother Peter. Are the siblings involved in the murder? Or is the real culprit the busy Anderl Sollmeier, a school friend of Beissl's daughter Eva, who stole a saint's figure in the local church at the time of the crime? Beissl massively suspects Anderl, while Jerry's investigation focuses more and more on Sina. The 17-year-old and her friend have big plans. But they need money for that.

The stories of a mismatched pair of detectives and their family entanglements provide the perfect blend of incidental humor, family life and a varied array of criminal cases all set against the imposing backdrop of the magnificent Alps. What else could you want in a successful police series?

In the German early evening schedule, the premiere broadcast of the first season was a huge success pulling in three million viewers.
